Our story
AdugeOps didn’t start as a product. It started as a solution to one kitchen.
In Bengaluru, Sahana runs Ajji’s Homemade — a home food business making nutrition-focused laddus and delicacies for expecting and new mothers, and wholesome snacks for kids instead of junk. For a long time she ran it alongside a full-time job and two children; today she’s all in on it full-time.
Shopify was the original order channel — the OG. Then Sowmya joined the business and teamed up with Sahana on the marketing: their Instagram content doubled and their creative reels started to land more. Their WhatsApp and Instagram DMs started to buzz even more. Good problems — more orders than ever — but now arriving in three different places, with nowhere single to hold them all.
When orders outgrow the tools
On a busy week, it’s the small things that slip — a customer order missed, or two getting mixed up. Nothing went wrong out of carelessness; it’s just hard to run a growing business across a phone and three order channels that never talk to each other.
Building one place to hold it all
Then one conversation about streamlining the whole process turned into an idea: give them one place to hold every order, so nothing gets forgotten, priorities are clear, and the quantity and delivery address for each one sit in a single view. It started as something built just for Ajji’s, shaped over many conversations with Sahana and Sowmya.
From one kitchen to many
Somewhere in the building, a bigger truth surfaced: Ajji’s wasn’t unusual. Thousands of home kitchens, tiffin services, cloud kitchens, home bakeries and caterers across India are wrestling with the exact same mess — orders scattered across Instagram, WhatsApp, Shopify, phone and walk-in, held together by memory and goodwill.
That’s when a fix for one kitchen became AdugeOps — a kitchen order management and operations tool for home and small food businesses. One pipeline to log every order from any channel and move it from intake to prep to payment to delivery, with customers, recipes and inventory in the same place.
We’re still close to where it began. Ajji’s Homemade is the first kitchen running on AdugeOps, and every kitchen we onboard next shapes what we build. If your week sounds like Sahana’s, you’re exactly who we built this for.
